Memorial Weekend Storms in East Texas 2017

Memorial Weekend Storms in East Texas 2017

On May 28th we had devastating, damaging storms roll through East Texas around 5 pm… most of the surrounding area lost powe and as of now are still out! There were numerous trees down across roads and on power lines… and reports revealed that an EF-1 tornado hit our neighboring town just 15 miles away. Such widespread damage… thankfully there are no reported injuries!

Latest update I found out a few days later: There were 2 tornadoes… and EF-2 in the neighboring town about 15-20 miles away and an EF-1 in a neighboring community about 5-10 miles away! The EF-1 dissipated and turned into straight-line winds which is what did most of our local damage.
